The latest Hearthstone Battlegrounds patch introduces Season 9 with significant changes including the temporary removal of several minions and a hero from the pool to address ongoing bugs.

Bug Fixes and Known Issues

  • King Bagurgle: Currently giving +3/+3 instead of the intended +3/+4.

  • Marin’s Bob-blehead Trinket: Only works when you Refresh the Tavern, not for all Tavern Refreshes.

  • Rerolling a Hero: Offers a new Hero with its default Hero Skin and sometimes the wrong border.
  • Reckless Cliffdiver: Effect is improperly overridden by Xyrella’s stat-setting Hero Power.

  • Sr. Tomb Diver: Doesn’t work with Ghoul-acabra.

  • Rerolling a Hero in Duos: Can sometimes give a Hero option with incorrect Armor.

Battlegrounds Pool Changes

  • Removed Minions: Holy Mecherel, Sore Loser, Niuzao, Colossus of the Sun, Salty Hog, Saltscale Honcho, Prime Mate, and Free Travel Winner have been trimmed to make the overall minion pool smoother.

  • Removed Cards: Bob-blehead, Untamed Sorcery, Acolyte of Yogg-Saron, Yogg-Tastic Pastry, and Yogg-Tastic Pastries are temporarily removed from their respective pools due to bugs.

  • Removed Hero: Trade Prince Gallywix has been temporarily removed from the hero pool.
