Battlegrounds Season 10

On April 29, Battlegrounds Season 9 will end and Season 10 will begin. Ratings will reset, Anomalies will leave the Tavern, and a new Battlegrounds Season Pass will be available. All rewards earned on the Season 9 track will be automatically claimed.

Trinkets Return

Trinkets are back in Season 10, with an updated offering system that means type synergy Trinkets will be offered more often. The Trinket pool has also gotten a major shake-up, with over 100 new Trinkets being added alongside over 100 returning Trinkets!

Two New Heroes

• Forest Lord Cenarius: Wisdom of the Ancients [3 Gold] - Increase your maximum Gold by 1.

• Buttons: Growing Collection [Passive] - On Turn 8, choose a Greater Trinket to buy.

Hero Updates

• Dinotamer Brann: Battle Brand [Passive] - After you buy 6 Battlecry minions, get Brann Bronzebeard. (Once per game.)
• Shudderwock: Now banned in Beast lobbies.
• Jim Raynor: Hero Power (Lift Off) now works with itself under the Cosmic Duality Anomaly and with the Battlecruiser Trinket.
• E.T.C., Band Manager: Golden Buddy (Talent Scout) now makes 2 Buddies Golden.
• Onyxia: Returned to the Hero Pool.
• Teron Gorefiend: No longer banned in Mech lobbies.
• The Great Akazamzarak: No longer banned in Mech lobbies.
• Professor Putricide: Relentless Sentry has been returned to the Build-an-Undead pool.
• Rakanishu: Lantern Light now works with cards that buff Tavern spells.
• Queen Azshara and Aranna: Temporarily banned at the start of the Patch due to a bug.

Seasonal Minion Refresh

• 79 minions have been removed from the minion pool, 19 previously removed minions have been returned to the minion pool, and 52 new minions have been added to the minion pool.
• 8 Tavern spells have been removed from the spell pool, 1 previously removed Tavern spell has been returned to the spell pool, and 4 new Tavern spells have been added to the spell pool.

Quality of Life Improvement: Updated Minion Frames

Battlegrounds minions have been given a refresh to make them easier to spot and understand, especially when quickly re-rolling through the Tavern. Each minion type will have one of the Hearthstone class card frames associated with it.

Bug Fixes

• Arcanotron, Activated: Fixed a bug where it could activate in the Shop.
• Catacomb Crasher: Fixed a bug where it didn’t always trigger as intended.
• Slippery Slider: Fixed a bug where its Spellcraft spell didn’t trigger Treasure-Seeker Elise’s effect.
• Efficient Engineer: Fixed a bug where it didn’t work with Bountiful Bedrock.
• Rivendare Portraits: Fixed a bug where having two tripled health, instead of quadrupling it.
• Dalaran Cheese Wheels: Fixed a bug where they didn’t stack that cheese.
• Kerrigan’s Zergs: Fixed a bug where they could get permanent Stealth or Taunt if Tripled into a Golden.
• Pyramad’s Brick by Brick: Fixed a bug where it counted as being used when another Hero Power with a button was used as your second Hero Power.
• Battlecruiser and Showy Cyclist: Fixed a bug where their Deathrattle effects weren’t copied by cards that inherited Deathrattles.
• Crabby: Fixed a bug where it didn’t get the bonus from Aim Low! when it was picked as the secondary Hero Power.
• Wandering Wight: Fixed a bug where it didn’t work with Pack Tactics.
• Alkali, Rock Rhino: Fixed a bug where it didn’t properly copy generated Triple Rewards.
• Sire Denathrius’s Quest: Fixed a visual issue where the counter disappears after one turn on certain mobile devices.
• Refreshing Anomaly: Fixed a bug where its effect, triggered by Rylak Metalhead, gave both players the free refresh.
• Tamsin’s Phylactery: Fixed a bug where it would trigger twice in one combat if your teammate defeated both enemies in the prior combat.
