:fire: Developer Insight - Trinkets!
The new patch reintroduces Trinkets as purchasable passive power-ups in Hearthstone Battlegrounds, offering players strategic choices on turns 6 and 9 with distinct options influenced by minion types and hero powers.
Trinkets Overview
Trinkets are special passive power-ups that you buy with Gold and use for the rest of the game. Trinkets are offered twice per game: on turn 6 (Lesser Trinkets) and turn 9 (Greater Trinkets). Each offering, you’ll get 4 Trinkets to choose from.
- Trinket Offerings: The four choices are always distinct, and some Trinkets have a Lesser and a Greater version of themselves.
- Trinket Pool: The overall pool of Trinkets is modified by the minion types in the game, your warband, and your hero power.
- Type Tags: Some Trinkets have an internal tag that ties them to a particular minion type, and you’ll get at least one Trinket with a type tag in each offering.
- Minion Type Requirement: You need 2 minions of a type for the lesser trinket and 3 minions for the greater trinket.
- Hero-Specific Trinkets: Certain heroes always have particular typed Trinkets in their pool, even without minions of that type.
- Trinket Cost: Most Trinkets cost 1-4 Gold, with at least one costing 2 or less in each offering.
